The basics of buying an owner financed house via @homebidz

This What You Need To Know In Your Home Search

Researching different homes is one thing, but when you factor in the neighborhood, it can be a completely different story. You should get to know the different neighborhoods you may live in. Knowing about each one individually can help you greatly in your home search.

Insurance

Insurance is one of the biggest surprises that new home owners learn about. It can range from a large amount to a small sum, all depending on the area. Check the average homeowner’s insurance rates for the area and type of housing as well. Choosing another neighborhood can actually save you money when it comes to insurance.

Property Tax

The same can be said for property taxes. The values will usually range, but with this one you can often check out the public records to get the information you need. Later on in the home buying process, an appraiser will give the exact value of the home, but it never hurts to go ahead and get an idea so you can average out property taxes.

Connections

The connections that lie within an area are always important. These connections can include water and sewer systems, internet connections, and cell phone service. Look into area maps of sewer and water systems. Many are available online through a city’s website.

Cell Service

Make sure that you research the type of internet connections that are available and that they will have the speeds that you need. Do the same for your cell phone service. You can walk in and out of a home to find out if your cell service will be sufficient.

Conclusion

When you find a home to have your eye on its always a good idea to scope out the neighborhood, if possible ask a neighbor about those everyday comforts and conveniences such as internet and cell service. You won’t want to feel isolated once you are in your new home.
